Scaling SoundHealth: A DTC eCommerce Rebuild for Growth

An Innovation This Big Deserved a Better Storefront

Breathing easier—it’s a fundamental need, yet millions struggle with congestion daily. SoundHealth set out to redefine the category, not just improve it. Their flagship product, SONU, is the first FDA-authorized wearable for personalized nasal congestion relief, leveraging AI-driven acoustic resonance therapy to deliver targeted, drug-free treatment.

Bringing a first-of-its-kind innovation to market is one challenge. Scaling it into a frictionless DTC experience—where technology, logistics, and customer experience work in sync—is another. But their eCommerce platform wasn’t keeping pace. WooCommerce was a roadblock—clunky updates, inefficient inventory management, and a storefront that couldn’t scale with demand.

SoundHealth needed a foundation built for growth. That’s where we came in.

From Limitations to Opportunities

Switching platforms isn’t just about getting better tools. It’s about creating something that works today and sets you up for tomorrow. For SoundHealth, the move to Shopify was a chance to reimagine what eCommerce could look like for their future.

Launching the Essentials, Perfecting the Details:

We approached the project in two focused sprints.

  • Sprint 1 focused on the foundation. We launched a sleek homepage, an engaging product page, and key sections like Learn, Blog, and Events. The goal was straightforward: get the essentials in place and the site up and running.

  • Sprint 2 focused on refinement. Performance was fine-tuned, advanced features were added, and the overall user experience was elevated to prepare the platform for seamless scaling.

Data Migration Done Right:

Data is the backbone of any eCommerce platform, and we treated it as such. Using Matrixify, we carefully transferred over 2,000+ orders and 500+ customer records from WooCommerce to Shopify. Every purchase record, every customer profile was preserved, ensuring nothing was lost in the transition.

Designing a Storefront for Simplicity and Scale:

We used Shopify’s Expanse theme as a starting point but customized it to reflect SoundHealth’s unique needs. The result? A storefront that balances flexibility with simplicity, empowering their team to make updates independently while keeping the experience intuitive for customers.

Equipping SoundHealth with Actionable Insights:

Ecommerce isn’t guesswork when you have the right data. By integrating Google Tag Manager and heatmaps, we gave SoundHealth the tools to understand customer behavior in real time. Whether it’s seeing what resonates or tracking the customer’s journey, they now have the insights to make informed decisions and boost conversions.

Keeping Momentum While Paving the Way Forward

The SoundHealth team was focused on one thing during the migration: maintaining continuity. Operations couldn’t pause, customers couldn’t wait, and growth couldn’t lose pace. Our job was to make the transition feel invisible, and that’s exactly what we did.

Protecting Search Visibility:

Search rankings are earned, not given, and SoundHealth’s were no exception. We started with an in-depth SEO audit to identify high-value URLs and key assets. Then, we crafted a redirect strategy that kept traffic flowing and their brand in front of customers where it belonged.

Stabilizing Operations During Change:

A migration is only as good as the systems behind it. Before launch, we ran stress tests on order management and customer support workflows to ensure everything worked flawlessly. The result? A transition that felt like business as usual.

Delivering Uninterrupted Customer Service:

Timing is everything in eCommerce. By planning the migration down to the minute, we made sure customers never felt a thing. Orders were fulfilled, inquiries were answered, and expectations were met without a hiccup.
